BENTONITE CLAY is one of the most broad-spectrum toxin binders known, and has a particular affinity for mycotoxins, the harmful metabolites produced by fungal molds. Bentonite clay swells when moist, enabling it to mechanically trap toxins in addition to ionically binding to them. Bentonite also can help to promote bowel health by adding firmness and bulk to the stool.
CHLORELLA VULGARIS is a nutrient-rich, freshwater algae containing the green pigment chlorophyllin. Chlorella has been shown to reduce intestinal absorption and promote excretion of lead, heavy metals such as mercury, cadmium and arsenic, heterocyclic amines, and dioxins. Moss uses the preferred, broken cell wall form of chlorella for enhanced bioavailability and efficacy.
SACCHAROMYCES BOULARDII is a yeast probiotic well known to benefit gut health and promote healthy stool formation, especially following antibiotic use. Research suggests S. boulardii binds to heavy metals, bisphenol A and numerous mycotoxins including aflatoxin, ochratoxin, and zearalenone.
PROBIOTIC BINDER BLEND contains three probiotic lactic acid bacteria: Lactobacillus rhamnosis, Lactobacillus plantarum, and Lactobacillus casei. These organisms each have been shown to adsorb bisphenol A, plastics, phthalates, and mycotoxin.
